Welcome!¶
As this semester’s programming TA, I’ll be available to help support you in all your coursework-related needs in programming, software, and data use. Throughout the semester, there will also be a short series of workshops to help further the programming skills you are likely to find useful while working in our scientific field. I will also be holding regular office hours (see below for schedule).

These office hours will be primarly held in person, but remote attendence via Teams will be available by request (simply email JT ahead of or during the given office hour time) or if the office hours need to be fully remote due to space unavailability.

Planned topics for this semester include:
- Colormaps, basic color theory, and making CVD-friendly figures
- Intro to LaTeX and Markdown, with modern toolkits for using them
- How Git and GitHub can help keep track of and verify correctness of your code
